I. Basic overview
Self-locking and self-resetting metal push button switch is a common electrical control component, which combines self-locking and self-resetting two functional characteristics, and the shell is usually made of metal material, with good robustness, durability and certain electromagnetic shielding advantages.
Second, the working principle
Principle of self-locking function:
When the button is pressed, the internal mechanical structure will keep the switch contact in the on (or off, depending on the specific design) state, even if the finger is released, the button will not automatically spring back to the initial position, the contact still maintains the previous changed state, so as to achieve self-locking, can continue to provide a stable on-off state for the relevant circuit. It is convenient for use in some scenarios that require continuous power supply or maintain a certain circuit connection. For example, in the circuit that controls the continuous operation of the motor, after pressing the self-locking button, the motor can continue to obtain electrical energy to run.
Principle of self-reset function:
When the button is pressed again, the internal mechanism will trigger the reset action, allowing the contact to return to the original on-off state, and the button will then spring back to the original position, ready for the next operation. This is like the doorbell button at home, press the circuit to make the doorbell ring, release the button automatically reset, waiting for the next press.
