Cutting and forming: The copper material is cut to the appropriate length, and then formed into the shape of the pin by bending, stamping and other processes. The length tolerance of the pin is generally controlled at ±0.5mm, and the bending Angle tolerance is controlled at ±2°. For example, for the pin used for circuit board mounting, its shape should meet the requirements of the mounting hole spacing and mounting method of the circuit board.
Surface treatment: As mentioned earlier, the pin surface is tinned or gold-plated to improve welding performance. The pin after tinning or gold plating should be tested for quality to check the adhesion and uniformity of the coating. The adhesion of the coating can be detected by the grid test, and the coating is required to have no peeling or peeling phenomenon.
Fit out
Component assembly: Assemble the machined contacts, housings and pins. First of all, the contact is installed in a fixed position inside the shell, generally fixed by the way of card slot or clip, and its assembly accuracy requires that the contact position tolerance is within ±0.1mm. The pin is then inserted into the corresponding hole of the housing, and the connection between the pin and the contact is fixed by welding or crimping. During welding, the welding temperature and time should be controlled to avoid damage to parts by virtual welding or overheating. For example, when using tin welding, the welding temperature is 280-320 ° C, and the welding time is 2-3 seconds.
Handle mounting: The handle is mounted on the housing so that it can move the contacts flexibly. The fit between the handle and the housing should be tight, and the pulling Angle tolerance of the handle should be controlled at ±5°. At the same time, it is necessary to check the feel of the handle to ensure that it operates smoothly and has appropriate force feedback.
